REFERRAL PARTNERSHIP

Simply recommend industry leading payment processing solutions to your valued merchant customers – and we will pay you back.

FIS Referral Partner Program is designed to help you strengthen your merchant relationships by providing flexible, easy-to-manage and profitable payment processing options for your customers. Your organization is completely free of any liability, expenses, or day-to-day responsibilities for supporting these merchant accounts. Simply refer merchants to FIS and we handle everything else. In return, you receive an on-going non-interest income stream.

Solid recurring revenue stream

  • Collect up-front payment for new accounts generated
  • Receive monthly residual revenue stream via ACH, based on merchants’ bank card activity

Full-service sales and support

  • Account entry and maintenance
  • Vendor relations
  • Detailed underwriting services
  • All-inclusive sales support
  • Notification of new merchant enrollment within 48 hours of completed application submission

Referral Partnership terms

  • Referral Partner will refer existing merchants or merchant prospects to FIS in exchange for a mutually-agreed upon compensation amount.
  • FIS owns the merchant account and holds the liability for merchant losses.
  • FIS supports the merchant from beginning to end, including processing, underwriting, support and education.
  • FIS is responsible for all compliance and regulatory issues.
  • FIS provides a revenue share to you.

Referral Partner responsibilities

  • Refer merchants to FIS.
  • Financial Institution is relieved completely of any liability, expenses, or day-to-day responsibilities for supporting merchant accounts.

FIS responsibilities for Referral Partner

  • FIS is responsible for all compliance and regulatory issues.
  • FIS owns the merchant account and holds the liability for merchant losses.
  • FIS supports the merchant from beginning to end, including processing, underwriting, support and education.
  • FIS is responsible for all compliance and regulatory issues.
  • FIS provides a revenue share to you.
  • Provide Customer Service Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-8:00 PM EST
  • Provide Technical Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

FIS’ Agent Partner Program delivers a comprehensive suite of payment solutions, security and services to meet the needs of your merchant customers – all packaged together with limited liability for you.

The Agent Partner Program is designed for Financial Institutions or Independent Sales Agents that want to maintain a strong relationship with their merchant customers, without having the associated liability.

Agent Partner benefits include:

Agent Program terms

  • Agent will have responsibility of the merchant relationship from prospecting, contracting, pricing and customer service.
  • FIS will provide transaction processing, underwriting, risk monitoring and will have liability for the merchant relationship.
  • A “buy rate” schedule of fees will be provided to the Agent allowing you to price your merchants as you determine appropriate. Buy rates are provided in a fee schedule and includes rates for processing transactions, authorizations, products, services as well as FIS’s equipment programs.
  • Buy rates will be competitive and allow Agent to mark them up appropriately to earn revenue on the portfolio of merchants.
  • Applications will be tri-party agreements between FIS, the Merchant and the sponsor bank.

Agent responsibilities

  • Sell to prospective clients, complete paperwork and obtain any further documentation required by underwriting.

FIS responsibilities for Agent Program

  • Prepare and underwrite the merchant application.
  • Board the merchant in all systems.
  • Deploy equipment and/or welcome kits, install and train merchants*
  • Provide communication to Agent on status of applications submitted, equipment ordered, training and installations.
  • Provide support for all issues or concerns on product, reporting and operations.*
  • Prepare monthly reporting for portfolio (i.e. monthly revenue share)
  • Provide Customer Service Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-8:00 PM EST and Technical Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

ISO PARTNERSHIP

FIS’ Independent Sales Organization (ISO) Partner Program delivers a comprehensive suite of payment solutions, security and business tools to meet the needs of your merchant customers – all packaged together with a revenue generating price model for you.

ISO Partnership terms

  • ISO owns the merchant relationship, gets revenue opportunity
  • ISO responsible for all expenses associated with merchant support
  • ISO is required to register with the Associations
  • ISO is required to establish a separate contract for BIN/ICA sponsorship
  • ISO is liable for merchant losses

ISO responsibilities

  • ISO will have full responsibility of the merchant relationship including responsibility for the cost of prospecting, sales, pricing, contracting, underwriting, boarding, ongoing support, back-office functions, and processing with FIS.
  • ISO will have responsibility for risk monitoring and compliance.

FIS responsibilities for ISO Program

  • FIS provides ISO with a fee schedule for each and all the services offered by FIS. ISO will price their merchants as they determine appropriate. Fee schedule includes rates for processing transactions, authorizations, products, services as well as FIS’s equipment programs
  • Fee schedule will be competitive and allow ISO the ability to markup appropriately to earn greatest revenue potential for portfolio of merchants

SERVICING PARTNERSHIP

Servicing Bank Program: 100% of generated revenue

This program is designed for Financial Institutions with 500 or more merchants.  The financial institution controls their entire program as a fully registered Acquirer with their own card brand endpoints.

  • Transaction and processing costs – FIS incurs these costs and extends them to the portfolio at agreed upon rates.
  • Sponsorship / ownership – The Financial Institution assumes all portfolio liability. Merchants are signed on a Financial Institution sponsored merchant application.
  • Revenue share – The Financial Institution assumes 100% of revenue.

 

With the Servicing Bank program option, all transaction processing, support, and related services are outsourced to FIS for a mutually-agreed upon fixed pricing rate structure. Your financial institution retains full control of your merchant accounts and assumes all third-party costs, but can rely upon the scale and flexibility of FIS. Additionally, by having a partnership with FIS, you can count on our industry expertise and extensive experience to support you as you expand your merchant portfolio.
